Early pore formation in aluminium foams studied by synchrotron-based microtomography and 3-D image analysis Applications of titanium-nickel shape memory alloys Aug 01, 1983 · The use of nickel4itanium alloys as mechanical couplers of pipes and tubes Design Nickel-titanium mechanical coup- lings replace socket welds or mech- anical compression fittings with a superior joint. The coupling comprises a sleeve machined from the alloy, with an inner diameter smaller than the outside diameter of the pipe it is intended to

Clamp up the tubing and start heating the aluminum with a propane torch. Aluminum will start to melt at 1200deg Fahrenheit but the brazing rod will melt at around 700deg so we want to get the aluminum hot enough to melt the rod without melting the tubing. Getting the tubing hot enough may take 4 to 5 minutes.

RETRACTED:Electrochemical behavior of magnesium alloys Oct 05, 2006 · In AM50 alloys, the second phases are presented by ( -phase ), Al 8 Mn 5 . ZK60 alloy contains very small Zn 2 Zr , many of them being below 0.5 1 m. sions uence of processing conditions on the mechano- l behaviour of Mg alloys has been studied in order to e optimization of their properties. Rayleigh-wave velocity, stress and preferred grain Aug 01, 1974 · The British aluminium alloy JH77S was chosen because the third-order elastic constants are available 6 and the alloy is similar to American alumin- ium alloys commonly used in aircraft manufacturing. The commonly used American aluminium alloy 6061 is elastic- ally isotropic,7 the third-order elastic constants 8 were not available at the time
Jan 06, 2008 · Kent, Thank you. It seems that Elgin liked to use these letter designations for some reason. I really don't believe they have any special meaning. Below is another Trademark that Elgin registered using the "X" designation. Your Elginium ad is the first one that I have seen with the "Y" designation. IMHO, I believe Elgin added the "ium" to the Elgin name because of the alloys used to US6203936B1 - Lightweight metal bipolar plates and Thin, light weight bipolar plates for use in electrochemical cells are rapidly, and inexpensively manufactured in mass production by die casting, stamping or other well known methods for fabricating magnesium or aluminum parts.
